Address: 5-3-20 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo (Omotesando metro station)
This merger of Carla Sozzani’s concept store with Rei Kuwakubo’s design talents works in some ways but not in others. On the positive side in the Tokyo store you find a whole array of collections not only from Comme des Garcons but also from Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Tricot, Maison Margiela to name but a few. The 10 Corso Como store in Tokyo is inviting and the staff is helpful and friendly.
However, if you were expecting a "milanese" Corso Como experience you are going to be disappointed – there is no café, no art gallery, no book store with collections of art and fashion books. It is just a clothes store, albeit an interesting one, but not a space to while away a Sunday morning.
PS. See below the location map in English. Tokyo maps provided by Google and showed at the "Location Map" section are in Japanese.
