The spirit of Roger Vivier, heralded as the inventor of the stilletto in the fifties and cobbler to luminaries such as Queen Elizabeth, Marlene Dietrich, and Catherine Deneuve lives on in this eponymous boutique in Paris’ famed rue Faubourg St Honoré.
Bruno Frisoni is now the designer of this luxury shoe line incorporating some of Vivier’s trademarks like the curved heel into his own innovations. These are for serious shoe fashionistas only since they are priced in the thousands of euros, but worth it since several of Vivier’s original works are now on display in museums the world over!
From footwear the brand has been extended into handbags and jewelry.
Ines de la Fressange is the consultant and Diego Della Valle (from Tod’s) is the money behind the brand.
