Maria Luisa Poumaillou’s sure eye for designer talent and fashion no-no’s ensures that her four boutiques in Paris are honey pots for fashion bees. From the late 80’s when she started her first store carrying then unknowns Galliano and Lang, to today when her stores carry a plethora of major designers and serve an equally starry clientele, Maria Luisa has consistently selected the most beautiful yet creative pieces of the season.
Today you will find Derek Lam, Gilles Rosier, Dsquared, and Demeulemeester to name a few and of course Manolo’s for those dainty feet. For a multibrand boutique you might find it a trifle small but once immersed in the offerings you will soon lose that initial opinion. She now has a men’s store and at the rue de Mont Thabor location new designers are given an opportunity to showcase their talent.
