Gaultier still is the enfant terrible of French fashion and even at age 54 has the ability to design collections that can shock and challenge. Probably most remembered are the wardrobes he has designed for the Madonna tours and his kilts for men.
JPG collections bring together a fusion of technology and design to truly provide glimpses of the potential and fun of clothing in the future. Gaultier now also designs for Hèrmes. He has a line of perfumes produced under license including Gaultier2.
The two Jean Paul Gaultier boutiques in Paris are similarly styled with peach taffeta walls. Our favorite is the one located at 6 rue Vivienne (2nd arrondissement).
Both boutiques offer ready-to-wear and haute couture, though probably if your means are limited the best buys are the JPG jeans.
