The crowds at Spitalfields is a different from most markets.  Serious fashionistas shop here on the lookout for that next designer talent especially at the Fashion Market held every Friday.  The area has really been invaded by art and design talent in the past few years and there are boutiques and galleries all around the original stalls market.  Spending a day here is not difficult at all and you will be dipping into your rainy day fund for that special gown or vintage hat. 

A few steps away from the covered stalls is the Sunday (Up) Market where you will find all sorts of jewelry, handbags, and accessories from all over the world.  Excellent eating choices abound in the area and just down the street is venerable Brick Lane now home to hundreds of Bangladeshi restaurants!
