Browns is a very expensive multi-designer boutique.  Over the past 35 years, under the impeccable taste of Joan Burstein, Browns has played host to almost every major designer – and most of them were there during their runup to fame.  The list of designers on the racks at any time are the who’s who for the fashion world – just walk in and start looking.  In addition to women’s wear, there are accessories, home accents, leather goods and men’s wear.  Items carried are definitely in the expensive range – if you can’t afford the prices pop in at the Browns Labels for Less down the street.  The staff is usually  more helpful and friendly than the snooty service found often in the single brand designer stores.
