Hennes & Mauritz is one of the new breed of clothing giants that thrive on change – Zara, Mango, Uniqlo are some of the others.  You  have to visit often, stick your elbows out to get through the crowds, and make your buying decisions fast – the skirt you wanted to think about probably will not be there next week or ever again!  Very  popular with the younger (and sometimes not so young) budget constrained (and sometimes not so budget constrained!) set.  Don’t expect exquisite tailoring or exceptional quality but then you can always still afford the next hot item next month !  While H&M tends to be lower priced than the others mentioned, it does occasionally have designer collections that sell out in hours rather than weeks – Lagerfeld, McCartney, Viktor and Rolf and even Madonna have all had limited edition collections at H&M.
