Though it has been in business for over 50 years, Guy Laroche still struggles to create a major presence in the fashion world. It has opened a store in New York, being this its only boutique outside France.
At the 2005 Oscars Hilary Swank brought some attention to the brand with a V-back gown designed by Hervé Leroux, who unfortunately already left the Maison. The current prêt-a-porter collections for women and men are well styled and well made – there are no flamboyant or distinctive elements but they do have a elegant and sometimes classical touch.
