Stuck bangles on your arms and wrists this summer for a fresh new look! Bangles come this season in an array of colors, materials and textures which make it difficult to choose: silver, gold, polished metal, wood, clear Lucite; heavily textured, bejeweled and even with tribal accents.

An easy and affordable way to spice up your looks and so much to pick out.

The trick: mix and stack up! Try exchanging with your girlfriends!

Vibrant colors, exploded florals and eye catching accessories announced the arrival of spring at the Saks Fifth Avenue “Want It” trunk shows.

Highlights from the show included neon color dresses by Diane von Furstenberg and Theory; floral dresses by BCBG, Boss –we loved the poppy print shirtwaist dress- and the oversize red posy sundress by D&G Dolce & Gabbana; maxi and cocktail dresses by Chanel, the Diane von Furstenberg gorgeous jade leaf print gown and Laundry fuchsia and orange tie-dyed cocktail dress.

Among the must-haves accessories: Chanel silver and turquoise quilted bags, Prada high heel sandals and Jimmy Choo patent Mary Janes in amazing bold colors.

Karen Walker eyewear                              Temperley sunglasses                                       Paul Smith eyewear

Prepare to show more of your face this summer! Smaller and more traditional shaped sunglasses are back in style replacing the huge wraparound masks dominating the scene over the last years.

As Filipa Fino, the Senior Accessories editor at Vogue USA, states, “there is definitely a move to more conservative eyewear and vintage shapes. For a while, everything has been oversized. In the sunglass market, specially it was about overpowering the face. Now the trend in fashion is to go back to classics”.

Classics with a retro “nerdish” flair and round or semi-round frames (influenced by Harry Potter or Ugly Betty?) are in the works for this spring and summer by edgy labels such as Balenciaga, Paul Smith or Temperley. A trend already embraced by stars like Bono and Mary Kate Olsen.

Not all frames, specially the round ones, are suitable for all face shapes. Those with a long, slim face are most likely to look good and with that intellectual, je-ne-sais-pas-quoi flair that round frames bestow. You don’t want to end up looking like Gandhi or John Lennon though!

Juicy Couture Trench, $348                   Moschino Pleat Neck Trench,  $2,695       Burberry Hemingway Trench, $1,495
             All at www.net-a-porter.com

The classic trench makes its return for spring in full style! Reinvented this season in new color palettes, textures and lengths will jazz up rainy spring days. Look for cropped lantern-shaped sleeves, ruffle details, floral prints, pastel shades, patent leather and metallic sheen to add a burst of style to your season’s wardrobe. Otherwise, invest in a classic, impeccably cut trench coat in a neutral color such as beige, ivory or black which you will be able to wear forever.

Get The Look: You will radiate classy sex appeal by wearing a double-breast trench as a dress –think Marlene Dietrich or Angelina Jolie- and pairing it with amazingly sexy stilettos. This silhouette, though, may not be that flattering for all figures or maybe too daring, in which case a little spring dress or skinny jeans under the trench can be enticingly chic. The key in both cases: Cinch it at the waist!
